Janie Finley became a Registered Nurse at the age of 21. She spent most of her early nursing career in the operating room before obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and working as a school nurse for the Kenai Peninsula School District and as a Nurse Assessor for the State of Alaska. Currently, Janie owns Nightingale Care Services and works as an independent care coordinator.
Janie and her husband Warren moved to Soldotna in 1989 and have two adult children. Warren has worked for the Kenai Peninsula Borough since arriving in the area. Janie got involved with Central Peninsula Health Foundation through Kathy Lopeman and the Way Out Women snow machine benefit ride and has served on the board for the last five years.
